Eloise - 10 months

Eloise is 10 months old!  Can it really be?  It seems like she was just born.  Two more months and she's a year old!  Wow how the time has flown by!
She is going and doing so much.  She is walking more and more but she prefers to crawl.  14 steps is the most she has taken at one time.  She is very stable standing on her own and can stand up from sitting though she prefers to have a little help still.
She now has 6 teeth in her mouth!  Once the bottom two came in they just kept coming.  She likes to use them too!  I've been nipped a few times while nursing, she bites down on her spoon and won't let go and she likes to bite my shoulder.  She hasn't gotten through to skin yet.  I'm trying to break her of it before she does!
This girl loves to eat!  She eats whatever we eat pretty much.  We've started giving her a little meat this month.  She takes her time eating it.  It's new so she chews it a little them pulls it out of her mouth.  Puts it back in and pulls it back out.  Yeah it's kinda gross but what can you do?  Her favorite treat at the moment is popcorn and chocolate milk.  I know she's not supposed to have milk till she's one.  She only gets a few spoonfuls.
Lately it feels like she and I have a bungee cord attached to each other.  She wants to be at my side all day.  If I leave the room she cries and chases after me.   She wants down and wants up again the instant her feet hit the floor.

She loves to climb.
She's climbed into our suitcase.  Which is very easy I know but that was just the beginning.
I left her on the floor in the living room for just a few seconds and found her on to the couch (there was a rolled rug to help).
She climbed into this chair all on her own.
She climbed into this chair when we were at the pool.  She likes to climbed into the dishwasher.  She was in her room alone the other day and when Glen went to check on her he found her on to the bottom shelf of her changing table.  Anything that little leg can get over she's climbing onto.  When I laid her down for her nap the other day she was lifting her leg trying to climb out of her crib.  The rail was too high - for now at least.
She's realized she can open drawers and cabinets.  I can't keep her away from them!  She's caught her little fingers in them a few times.  She likes to swing doors back and forth too.  It makes me nervous she'll really smash her fingers with that!  I try to keep her from messing with the doors but she is fast and very sly about getting to them.
I do believe she knows what "No" means but doesn't obey when she hears it.  When she's going to something that's off limits she'll turn and wave at me just before she goes for it.  Even when I tell her no she'll turn, give me that wave and keep going.
She likes to pretend to talk on the phone.  When she gets one of ours she'll hold it to her ear and babel in her own little language.  It's so very cute.
She's started to gather thing and squeeze them.  I don't know why or when she started this.  It can be anything.  She's usually moved on to something else before I can get a picture of her but I did get this one.  She has her doll, her outfit and the remote.   She is so very happy while doing it.  She's so silly.
At times it seems like she's referring to Glen when she says "dada."  The other day when he came home she leaned around the corner and it sounded like she said "hey dada!"  There are other times when she'll say dada when she wants to get his attention.  So sad she still won't say mama!!

She still loves to give herself kisses.  Now she'll give them when asked!  Aunt Staci was the lucky lady to get the first one.  She loves to kiss her dolls and stuffed animals.  She gives more hugs than kisses though.  When she gives hugs she pats your back.  She's so very sweet.
She hates her car seat.  She must have gotten burnt out with all the traveling we were doing.  The other day when I put her in it, she did the usual cry/bow back thing.  Then she let me buckle her in.  After I adjusted the buckle higher on her chest she grunted and hit it with both of her hands.  This little girl can be so feisty!
She loves to get in and out of her bumbo seat.  She's figured out how to get in properly.  She still gets  one leg stuck under her or gets in sideways at times.  She's so fun to watch figure out how to get in and out of it right.
She is such a joy.  Just thinking about her makes me smile and want to be a better person.  Oh I just love her so very much.

Our "official" family vacation

Disney World!
We had so much fun!  We went to Disney Quest first as we got to Orlando later in the day then crashed in the hotel.  The next day we went to Typhoon Lagoon.  It was so nice. Eloise loved it too.
(We somehow lost her bathing suit after going to the beach.  So we just kept her in her little jumper.)
We spent a lot of time along the lazy river.  Eloise tried to eat sand again and we almost got knocked over in the wave pool.

From there we went to Hollywood Studios.  We saw a few shows and during the last one - my fave Beauty and the Beast - it poured!!  We got soaked!  It was so much fun though.
The next day was devoted to the Magic Kingdom.  It was already decorated for fall.
Eloise loved the carousel,
I made Glen try to pull the sword from the stone,
Woo was more interested in the people sitting behind us on Small World, and she hated Snow White.
We met Pirate Goofy,
   And Tigger and Pooh.
Her absolute favorite ride was the tea cups!  I didn't want to ride on it at first.  I thought she'd hate being spun around so fast but she LOVED it!  Glen spun us around so fast and she was laughing the whole time!  She was so funny!  The whole time we were spinning her little head was making circles.  It was like she didn't have control of her head.
We had so much fun!

A month of leave!

We have been on vacation so long it's going to be hard to get back to reality!  We left Maryland on July 18th and have been traveling around Florida ever since.  Be warned there are lots of pictures!
On our way to Macclenny we first had to stop was Columbus, GA.  We wanted to have a place to live straight away so we could really enjoy our vacation time.  We had done some research and went to our #1 pick first and got it! Our stuff was delivered on the 16th!
It was so good to be with family again.
During this time Eloise has had more playmates than ever!
More than one morning these two played at that table.  Eloise had more fun standing in those chairs than sitting in them.  She's become a little climber!
Eloise found a love for bean bags.  She was so funny rolling around on that thing!
Lailan discovered the best way to feed a baby an icee.  Woo couldn't get enough!
 We love our Bryn!
Riding around with Hudson and Chapman.  I love Bryn in the background!
More than once she's ended up in a toy stroller.
We took a couple trips to the duck park.
Alli shared her swing with Woo!
There were ducks everywhere!
We went swimming.
Played rock band.
Eloise had to take a turn too.
And played TONS of Plants vs Zombies.  (I'm a pro now!)
Everyday when the kids would come over we would get the same questions - "Where's your iPad?" "Where's your phone?"  "Can we play rock band?"  When we left once Hudson asked if we could leave the iPad.  Oh those kids LOVE video games!
We ate dinner at Granny's most nights.
Eloise has so much fun emptying out her cabinets.

Marc adopted a puppy a few months ago named Krash.  He is one friendly happy dog.  Eloise got lots of licks in her face and whacks with his tail.
The funniest thing was seeing him sitting in Dad's lap.
He's so big but thinks he's a lap dog!
 They're all to big!
Everyone wants to sit with Pepa!  Don't let his face fool you, Dad loves it!

We went to visit the Bowen's in Bonifay!
We had lots of fun and lots of laughs.
We had a nice visit with Glen's mom too.  We took Eloise to the beach for the 2nd time. She loved it! The water was so cold at the beach in Maryland - Eloise hated it.
Not at Panama City Beach.  It was so nice.  The water was perfect.
 Woo loved it.
She played in the sand.
She played in the water.

She even had to taste a bit of sand.
She made some new friends too!  A group of snorkelers came over to talk to her a while when they came back to shore.  Who could blame them she's so adorable!

We visited Trey and Meghan.  They are getting moved in to their new home.
It was fun to see Eloise play with Taylor.
And we got to meet sweet little Andrea.

We visited with Grandma and Grandpa Ramsey.  Eloise and Hunter had fun playing with balloons.
We intended on staying the night with them but with the A/C in the cottage wasn't working.  So we begged a bed off the Brock family.  Of course they said yes so we made our way to Tallahassee.  Eloise had fun with her cousins there. They brought out their toys for her to play with and got lots of hugs and love!
 Big smiles with Ethan!
 A little snack with Sarah.
 Loving some Anna Belle!

We stopped by the Hill's.  It was too short a visit.  I wish we could have stayed longer.
Maya was such a happy girl!
Eloise and Allison were in a wrestling match the whole time.   Alli kept pulling her over or pushing her down.  She never hurt her though.  Oh that Allison has so much love to give!

We went back to Macclenny from there.  We just relaxed and enjoyed family time.   We took another trip to Tallahassee for a FSU game.  Woo stayed with Aunt Liz and had some more time with her cousins.  It was pretty ridiculous how much leaving her for that long effected me.  I almost cried when we left!

On the 9th we went up to Columbus to take possession of our apartment.  Our original plan was to just stay on but our things wouldn't be there for another week and Glen's leave wasn't up till the 18th so we decided to use it up!  We weren't there long before we tuned around and drove down to Bonifay for the weekend.  It wasn't as nice as the last time though.
Poor little Eloise had a fever.  This is the first time she's had anything more than a runny nose.  It lasted for 4 days!  One night the Tylenol didn't bring her fever down.  I didn't get much sleep that night!  Monday it finally broke. I don't know if it was the cause but the same day the fever broke her 5th tooth broke through too.

It was a long time to be off but at the same time it flew by!  Now it's back to the real world.  We have boxes to unpack and a house to organize.  Glen has to get a hair cut and I have to start cooking dinner again.
