Emery - 2 months

2 month stats:
Weight: 13.7 lbs
Height: 23.7 in
Head: 15.5 in
We've done it - Emery is exclusively breast feeding!  I wanted to give up so many times.  I though giving him a bottle would make everyone's life easier.  At the same time I felt so guilty for even thinking of giving him formula.  Which is silly.  All my nieces and nephews were formula fed and are all perfectly healthy.  I don't have to worry and stress over it anymore.  Mr. Ems has finally got the hang of it.  YAY!
He still enjoys crying but it is getting better.  I can see a dim light on the horizon or maybe it's his smiles that make the crying more tolerable.  Which he is doing more and more of.  He gives the sweetest smiles.
His crying may have lessened because he's is noticing more things.  His favorite thing at the moment is the ceiling fan.
Emery has started cooing too.  I love our little conversations.
He still likes our bed over his.  One night he'll sleep the whole night in his bed (with about 3 nursing breaks) and the next he can't stand to be put in it.  We'll get there - I hope!
We love this little guy so much!

Pumpkin Patch

Eloise, Emery and I made another trip to Macclenny during one of Glen's long work weeks.  This time the pumpkin patch was open and Eloise made two trips to it!  The first trip was with her cousins Alliyah and Alli.  Those girls had so much fun running around and looking at all the pumpkins.

The next trip was during the family fun day at the patch.  They had games, candy, face painting, popcorn, music, cupcakes and hotdogs.

Eloise loves her cousins!

Florida Visit

Glen has self scheduled himself to have about 4 days off in a row.  The only downfall to that plan is he has to works 4 days in a row.  I wasn't looking forward to so many days alone with a super active almost 2 year old and super fussy 5 week old so we packed up and headed south!

My dad is the best dad in the world.  He doesn't want me to drive so far alone with the kids so he drives 8 plus hours (round trip) to get us.  This time Glen was able to drive us half way.  I really do have the best family ever!

We stopped at the Florida welcome center for a break.  We got some OJ and Eloise and Emery had fun posing in the cutouts.  I had to force Eloise to leave.  Silly girl!

This was the first time most of the family met Emery. I don't even know what number great grandchild Emery is for Granny.  The number is getting up there.  Oh we love her so much!
Eloise loves her cousins.  Where ever they go she is right there behind them.  She had to copy Keaton laying on the floor.
You just can't get enough love from Pepa and Mema.
Eloise found the courage to get into the tree house this time and had so much fun in the Padgett's yard.  I only got pictures of her playing out there one day.  I'm lucky to every have my phone - the boys can't stop playing it!  I should be better about bring my camera I guess.

We also hit the duck park.  Lailan came with us and now that she's 15 she drove us there.  The boys were so funny telling her to "drive faster like mom" "we're never going to get there!".  Once we were there they were praising her for driving so well.  So silly.

Eloise showed that new found courage by feeding the scary aggressive ducks and by going down the tallest slide in the park!  Yeah, I had Lailan spot her as she went down.
I got a couple shots of Eloise "loving" Emery.  She just can't stay away from him.

We also celebrated Aunt Pat's birthday.  I think Eloise thought it was for her.

Emery slept through all the fun!
Did he know we were on our way to see Daddy?  I love that sweet sleepy smile.

3 Year Anniversary

Our three year anniversary started out so sweet.  I woke up to a trail of kisses to my present.  Glen framed our marriage certificate and a picture of the Orlando Temple.  It's beautiful and something I've wanted to do since we got married.  He's so good.  Glen got the Avenger's movie.  (Yeah I'm terrible at getting him gifts and he always gets be something awesome.)

We went out to run some errands during the day and when we got home Eloise threw up.  A little preview of her gift she gave us later that night.  She seemed fine after so we carried on with our day.  Glen had a flag football game that night so we all went to cheer him on.
(The MEDDAC team won the pre-season tournament and is still undefeated.)

Eloise was super excited and cheered for her daddy.  Emery slept nearly the whole time.

While we were there Eloise had a terrible diaper blow out.  I was not prepared so she had to be in just a diaper the rest of the game.  Poor girl - she didn't seem to care.  Though you wouldn't know it to look at her she was sick.
On the way home she threw up again.  A LOT!  I almost threw up trying to contain the mess to her and her car seat.  Glen carried her in her car seat into the house.  She did not like that at all.  Glen and I had planned on a nice steak dinner to celebrate our three years but Eloise just could not stop being sick.  She threw up about 5 more times that night.  Not to mention she was doing all this right at the time of night Emery likes to have his little fits.  I didn't get to eat till after 10 pm.  It was an exhausting night to say the least!
Thanks for making this anniversary unforgettable Eloise!
