Canning

While we were in Macclenny a batch of green beans were ripe and ready to be reaped!  Glen and William picked them, Aunt Pat, Taylor, Granny and I canned them.  Eloise wanted to help too.
She helped wash the beans and put them in the jars.  Such a big helper!

It took all day but we got them all snapped and canned!

Sea World/Disney

During Glen's leave we spent a day at Sea World and a day at Disney.  Surprisingly enough Eloise enjoyed Sea World more than Disney.  (Crazy baby.)  We went straight to Sea World from Macclenny.  It was a bright sunny day.  We first went to the dolphin show.  I wasn't sure how Eloise would do - she doesn't like to be still for too long.

She was mesmerized!  She loved watching the dolphins jump and the birds fly in and out of the crowd.  It was GREAT!
She rode every ride she could and loved them all!  During the tea cup and boat rides she had a huge smile on her face till they spun/swayed too much she'd panic a little.  Once they slowed down that smile would come right back.

She loved steering the ship and ringing the bell!

Eloise was so good during every show we went to.  When the scary sea horse came on the screen during the Allure show she actually covered her eyes!  I've never seen her do that before.
As with the Dolphin show Eloise liked the Shamu show.  Too bad we couldn't stay for the whole thing.  Just as the show was starting she dirtied her diaper.  The third one that day.  The last diaper change was so bad i used all the wipes and her pants got dirty.  The show was going to be our last stop so we just left early.  Glen carried her like this all the way to the car!
While we were in Orlando we stayed with Glen's sister Emily.  Eloise had a good time with Maya and Allison.

Our second day in Orlando was dedicated to Disney.  We first went to Typhoon Lagoon.  Eloise didn't like the sprinklers in the kid section but loved the lazy river and wave pool.  Eloise fell asleep on the way to the Magic Kingdom and didn't eat much once we got there.  A hot, hungry, tired baby isn't the most fun.  She wouldn't even ride a horse on the carousel.  She screamed and cried till we put her on the bench.  She liked the tea cups if we didn't go too fast and got a little scared on Dumbo when we moved up and down.  The one ride she really loved was Small World.  She was pointing and looking at all the dolls.  She couldn't get enough!
She spent a lot of time on daddy's shoulders.  We also went to the tiki room show.  I thought it was a little annoying but she danced the whole time!
By the end of the day she was passed out in the stroller and barley batted an eye when we put her in the car.

Summer vacation 2012

Glen took a week and a half off and we headed south!  We were so excited to see our family and friends.  Eloise got a nice treat on the way - a milkshake!  She loved it and did really well with it too.
 Yeah she liked it.
We first spent a few days in Macclenny.  While we were there we went to Hudson and Chapman's last soccer game.  Eloise wanted to go out on the field and play too.  Glen and Bryn chased her down the whole time.
In the end the boy's team won and they both scored a goal too!
We spent a lot of our time just relaxing and enjoying our time with family.  Granny was set on making us fat the whole time we were there.  She always wanted us to eat and of course she made my favorite key lime pie.  Yum!

Eloise loved playing with her cousins.  They picked blue berries, went swimming, played with sidewalk chalk and swept the driveway.

Eloise LOVES dogs.  Poor Coco was just the right size for her.  Eloise would chase her around everywhere.  Coco was sweet and let Woo pick her up here and there.
We celebrated Bobby and Uncle Robert's birthdays while we were there.  They each had their own cake.  We couldn't find the box of candles but I was able to find four in a drawer.  One of them turned out being a trick candle.  Notice in the picture Chappy covering his face.  The candle had just sparked.  It surprised everyone.  It was so funny!
My cousin Jenny got married while we were there too.  It was the sweetest wedding.  I'm so glad we were able to go.  I didn't get any pictures of the bride and groom though.  I don't know what I was thinking.  The kids got out on the floor to danced and collect the rose petals.

The Padgett's had a little bonfire one night.  The s'mores were so good!  Too bad Eloise was already in bed and couldn't come out too.
After Macclenny we spent a couple days in Orlando visiting Sea World and Disney.  From there we popped in on Glen's grandparents and sister Liz.  Eloise loves to play with her Brock cousins.  Ethan was so funny doing his Elmo voice for her.

Then we went to visit the Bowen's.  They are moving to Hawaii in about a month so this was the last time we'd see them for a long time!  (So sad but exciting at the same time.)  Again I didn't take any pictures!  I did get one...

We ate dinner at Bobby's parent's after church and met the new addition to the family.  Eloise didn't like the elk!  It was crazy big!!

We had a great time on our little vacation.  Now we're looking forward to our cousins coming up to visit us!

A farewell to Trey

Glen's brother Trey is being deployed to Kuwait in a few days.  Luckily Glen had the day off so we were able to go to his farewell party.
It was nice to see everyone again.  Eloise had a blast playing with her cousins.
She loves Sarah.
Sarah is so sweet to show Woo so much attention.  Sarah watched her when they were playing outside.  Which was most of the time we were there.
If it has a handle she'll try to carry it like a purse.
Eating dinner between Grandma Wisa and Grandma Sarah.
She looked so sweet looking out the window.
All the siblings (minus Emily) and their mom.
Eloise was good in the car for the most part.  She loves to make us laugh with this face.

It was too short a visit but a good one non the less.  I'm glad we were able to see Trey before he left.  We hope he has a safe and quick deployment.

The Balcony

For a while there Eloise went through a fear of the wooden planks.  They are on our balcony and out our front door.  When we first moved here she had no problem with them.  Then out of nowhere she wouldn't walk on them without a death grip on my hand followed by her reaching up to be held.  I don't know what caused it but there were some perks to her fear.  The biggest was she wouldn't step off the mat at the front door.  (Before she would take off one way or another.)
Now the balcony is her favorite play area.  She loves to sit and play in the corners.

She brings her toys out and eats popsicles.

She loves to dance with or without music, so of course she dances out there too.

She is such a sweet girl.  Though she runs out the front door now, I'm glad she's not afraid of the wood planks any more.
