To the park we go

While Eloise and I were in Macclenny we went to the park so many times!  We went almost everyday one week.  It was fun and the kids had a blast.
Every time we went we had to play peek-a-boo through these holes.
She still loves to swing!  But, she spent most of her time on the slides.  There were are couple slides that were just perfect for her.  She could go up the steps without my help.  Then she decided it's faster to just go down head first.  She thinks she's so big!

The first time she did it it scared me.  Thankfully the slide evens out at the end so she stopped before falling off.
She liked chasing the ducks too.

She got close but it got away.

The park wouldn't be as much fun without her cousins!
 Hudson
 Chapman
 Bryn
 Keaton
Even Lailan came a couple times!
Eloise and Alli had fun on the fire engine teeter totter.   Chappy didn't, thanks to Hudson.  Poor Chapman had a time getting on the thing just to have Hudson swing so big.
This picture is priceless.  Chapman wanting to get off, Hudson having a blast and Mema laughing.  I was laughing too.  Poor Chappy!  It was so funny though!

Once Chappy and Alli were done steering the ship it was Eloise's turn.
She LOVED it.
You can't go to the duck park without feeding the ducks!
Well Eloise can.  She eats the bread herself instead of giving it to the ducks.

The last day were were there a little girl picked up one of the ducks.  She brought it around to everyone to pet.  Even Eloise knew what she was doing was wrong!

Clover Fields and Pine Cones

I've always loved the patches of clovers in my mom's yard.  I think their so sweet and beautiful.  Eloise liked playing in them too.

I wish I would have made a garland of clover flowers for her hair.  I've done it for my nieces so many times before.  I don't know why I didn't think of it at the time.

She kept picking up pine cones too.  Crazy girl, just about every time we were outside she'd pick one up and carry it for a while.

The Zoo

Chapman's class had a field trip to the zoo.  Being the sweet boy he is, he invited us to come.  We were more than willing to tag along.  Sweet Alli heard we were going and there's no way we could leave her behind!
Eloise and Alli both fell asleep on the way there.  I almost had to shake Alli to get her to wake up!

We brought the stroller for Eloise but she was more content to walk.  Again, Alli was quick to jump in the stroller!
Eloise loved the birds.  I think because they're the ones she could really get close too.  She was so funny trying to make noises like them.
You can't go to the Jax Zoo without sitting on the gorilla!  When I was putting Alli up on him a swarm of kids took it over.  Poor thing was sad she didn't get a picture too.
While we were eating lunch Alli said it was like she and Chapman were on a date.  Lucretia told her you don't date your cousins!  She just laughed and said they would date when they were older.  That girl is so silly!

It was such a fun day!  Thanks Chappy for inviting us!

Sick Sick Sick

About a week after we were in Florida, my nephew Keaton brought home a stomach virus from school.  By Monday everyone in the family had it too.  Thankfully it only lasts about 12 hours but it was rough.
The worst for me was seeing Eloise so sick.  You can't tell from this picture but she was sick!
Just after this picture was taken she, the bed and I had to be stripped and changed.  She stayed in a diaper and slept the rest of the day.  Thankfully she was much better the next day.

I thought I had been passed over by the stomach bug but I was wrong.  Monday night it hit me and the next day I was miserable.  Lailan laughed saying you could tell I was sick because of how Eloise looked.
Poor girl - she was lucky to even have clothes on!

Florida!

When Glen told me he had to go to Texas to grade the EFMB training for 3 weeks, I wasn't very excited.  I hate him being gone.  On the plus side, it gave Eloise and I an excuse to go to Florida for a long visit.  There's always lots to do when we're there.
This was at Bryn's class President's day play "By George".  It was only the second day we were there but when Eloise saw Bryn she ran up to her like she sees her everyday.  It made Bryn (and me) every happy!
 Happy girls with their Mema!

Only at Mema's does she get a chocolate pop for breakfast!

Alli is the only cousin in Macclenny not in school.  We had a lot of fun playing in the mornings.
My plan was to go for walks everyday.  The kids always wanted to come so it wasn't the ideal exercise but we had fun anyway!
Before the walk was over Eloise wanted to push the stroller.  Alli was more than happy to ride.

I took Bryn and Alli to get pedicures!
It was Alli's first time.  They were so cute!
Always the little helper, Eloise wanted to feed the fish with Bryn.
She had a blast at Aunt Staci's!  She loves to swing!
"Riding" the tricycle.
Eloise had fun playing games and coloring at Aunt Lucretia's.
She loves stickers!

We got to celebrate Lucretia's birthday!  We miss so many of  them!

While I was there I got to visit with some great friends I don't get to see near enough.  Melissa Cranford and Olivia came over for a fun play date.
 Aren't they cute together?
I just love this picture of Chapman and Eloise.  So, so sweet!
But nothing's sweeter than when Daddy came home!
