Valentine's Day

We had a nice and lazy Valentine's Day.  Glen had the day off so we watched movies and played with Woo.  Glen did have to go to PT in the morning and when he came home he had roses for his girls!
Eloise got a white rose.

I got pink roses, the new Twilight movie and chocolates of course.
Eloise also got a balloon and chocolates.
Once she got into the chocolates she wouldn't even look at me.

She wanted to get into those treats!
Eloise had so much fun with her balloon.  It didn't take long till she broke the string on the balloon but that didn't stop her!  She and Glen had so much fun trying to keep it from the ceiling.
I love that laugh!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Bumps, Bruises and Scrapes

There's no way to stop them from happening.  When you're a mom you can't help but wish you could.  Like every other one year old Eloise is one active girl!  She thinks it's hilarious to put a jacket, blanket - pretty much anything she can find - over her face and walk around.  She laughs and laughs as she walks around blind looking to bump into something.  It's even better when she finds Glen or I.  It's not as much fun when she bangs into tables or doors.  It seems like she has a new little bruise everyday.

Lately, walking isn't good enough anymore.  It seems like no matter where she's going she has to run.  The other night, as she was running to her Dad in the kitchen, out of nowhere we hear a bang and then hysterical crying.  Neither one of us saw what she hit but this was the result.
OUCH!
The next day she had a black eye.
Not even a week later she fell and hurt her face again.  We were out by the pool while Glen grilled dinner.  Eloise loves to run around the pool area.  As she was running away from me I called to her to come back.  Believe it or not she actually did.  She came running to me with her arms out, a huge open mouth smile on her face.   She was just out of reach when she tripped on the air.  She seemed to catch her self but she had too much momentum and went over her hands and her face hit the concrete.  I know it's impossible but I kept thinking I should have been able to catch her!  Maybe she blamed me a little for the fall too because she didn't want me to comfort her.  She just wanted her Daddy.

Her poor little face.  It's not quite healed yet.  It kinda looks like she has dirt on her face.  I go to clean it off and remember there's nothing to clean!

Hopefully we won't have anymore major boo boos this week.  With this daredevil I doubt it!
